About the event
Come and hear how one man started a movement that has made a tangible difference in the lives of innumerable people.
After a highly successful Ride for Refuge, the members of the Fairview Ratanak Riders would like to thank their sponsors with a night of dessert and coffee. We extend this invitation to anyone who wants to learn more about the work Ratanak is doing to combat human trafficking and exploitation in Cambodia, and the impact Ratanak has made to the lives of many Cambodians.
Brian McConaghy, the founder of Ranatak International, will share stories of the dramatic founding of Ratanak, the development of cutting-edge projects, and the work that Fairview and the Ride for Refuge have enabled over the years.
Brian is a former RCMP forensic scientist who has worked on many important cases over 22 years, including the harrowing murders committed by Robert Pickton. He has continued to contribute to investigations that have led to the prosecutions of international sex tourists. He has received many awards for his work with Ratanak and the RCMP, including the Meritorious Service Medal from the Governor General of Canada (1998) and the Golden Jubilee Medal from the Canadian Government (2002).
Brian is a engaging speaker, and this is one event that will captivate your imagination on what we can do to share God's love in the world.
