“Halleluia! He is risen! Christ is risen indeed.”

We greet each other with these words on Easter Sunday as we join with Christians around the world to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.  His resurrection, which is one of the best attested historical events, changes everything.

Our service on Easter Sunday is joyful and festive and at the same time graced with a sense of wonder and astonishment, because resurrection is always a surprise, a gift.  It was in the time of Jesus, and it still is whenever we encounter the risen Christ in our own lives.

Come, gather around the communion table with us, and give thanks for the life of Jesus in which we share.
